Since most resorts and dive centres have basic first aid services, find out where yours keeps its first aid items after your arrival. Better safe than sorry.
Now, should you need a doctor whilst in Tioman, note that there is well-stocked clinic located in the village of Tekek, Tioman's most centrally located village. If you're in any of the other villages on the west coast: Genting, Paya, ABC or Salang, then get a boat taxi to Tekek.
From Juara Village, the only village on the east coast, you'll need to take a 4x4 to Tekek. In all cases, it shouldn't be more than 20-30 minutes to reach the clinic in Tekek.
The Tekek clinic's phone number is +60 (0)9-4191880. The clinic is located on the left after coming away from the jetty. Look for the "Vision Commerce" building, because the clinic is very close.
Clinic opening hours
Monday - Thursday | 8am - 1pm | 2pm-5pm |
|
Friday | 8am-12:15pm | 2:45pm-5pm |
As you can see, the clinic is open at irregular hours and is closed on weekends. Whilst unfortunate, there is an alternative, because the Berjaya Hotel, which is also in Tekek, offers a clinic too.
NOTE: You can get a taxi from the Tekek jetty to Berjaya, a 5 minute drive.
Note that the nearest hospital is in Mersing on the mainland. However, in case of an emergency, there will be a speedboat available to make an emergency crossing to Mersing.
Important phone numbers:

Mersing Hospital +60 (0)7-799 3333

Incidentally, if none of the number provide adequate assistance, then by all means call our number, +65 90079345. We'll do our best to help.
