Mersing Harbour Centre

The recently opened Mersing Harbour Centre is the culmination of the wholesale Mersing ferry terminal renovations works that ushered Mersing into a new era.

Gone are the days of the hackneyed ferry ticket counters just adjacent to the Mersing Jetty. Mersing Harbour Centre now not only comfortably houses the ferry ticket counters, but the state-of-the-art Mersing Harbour Centre building also encompasses snacks (Pro Tip: Eureka Snacks) and souvenir shops, a modern eateries complex, as well as a Tourist Information Centre.

Other amenities of Mersing Harbour Centre include a car park, an exhibition hall, a mosque, a children's playground and contemporary washroom/bathroom facilities.

Mersing Harbour Centre will eventually comprise 50 SMEs, including participants of the East Coast Economic Region Development Council Empower Programme.

In fact, the RM12 million Mersing Harbour Centre is a veritable business hub that's intended to benefit these regional SME enterprises.

However, in all likelihood, Mersing Harbour Centre will be a considerable boon to the Mersing/Tioman ferry operation, in particular, especially to Tioman Island travelers, both from the immediate area, as well as from further afield.
