In 2025, Hari Raya falls on Saturday 7th June. Hari Raya marks the end of the annual Haj, the pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca that Muslims want and need to undertake at least once in their lives. Traditionally, Hari Raya is commemorated by feasting on meat with family, friends and the needy as a special act of charity.

Hari Raya is the great equalizer, since many Muslims are able to enjoy the unusual luxury of eating a full-on meal during these happy days.
