After the Pandemic

Home / Tickets / News / Blog

As our lives and our holidays are gradually returning to the pre-pandemic days, it's a good idea to make sure that we retain a prudent balance between blissful relaxation and complacency. After all, especially when we're overseas, in unfamiliar territory, it's easy to let out guard down. And whilst we realize that it's important that we enjoy our holidays to the fullest, now more than ever, we're also aware that most travelers may still be a little wary. Rightly so.

This is why Tioman Ferry Tickets is taking the vigilant approach for now. Particularly when it comes to matters of personal health, we prefer to err on the side of caution. In practice, this means that we're currently continuing to actively monitor the pandemic as it transitions to the endemic phase. We do this by keeping track of the case numbers and by staying abreast of the latest developments on the virus front.

Naturally, we also take into consideration governments reopening borders and/or relaxing and eliminating travel curbs, as these announcements are indisputable vote of confidence, not to mention clear indications that we've made great progress. As such, we're thrilled to hear of Singapore and Malaysia agreeing to revert to full-on travel between the two countries.

When will our ferry tickets become available again? Well, once we're 100% sure that standard operating procedures at each stage of the journey have been confirmed to be of the highest level, will we resume our ferry ticket service. This includes all protocols along the entire journey, i.e. from Singapore to Mersing, as well as, obviously, the ferry crossing to Pulau Tioman itself.

The month of May was the pivotal month, given that it was selected by our respective governments, Malaysia's and Singapore's, as the month of the Great Re-Opening. Now, if and when everything goes according to plan in the next several months, both in terms of transport logistics as well as vis-à-vis the Covid situation, count on us wasting no time in once again providing ferry tickets to everybody's favorite sun-kissed escape destination, Pulau Tioman.

If you'd like to be updated when our tickets go back on sale again, you can let us know with below form.
