Warna Inn Chalet & Cafe opened its colourful doors to the public in 2014. This quaint and cheerful hostel sits on what's probably the best little stretch of beach in Tekek Village. That alone makes Warna Inn Chalet & Cafe worthy of a stay. But by the time you're packing your bags to go back home, you know without a doubt: Warna Inn Chalet & Cafe is awesome on all counts.
For starters, they have quite a nice range of rooms up their sleeves, virtually all of which are beach-front. They include doubles, triples and quads. The rates for these rooms are RM 140, RM 180 and RM 220 per night, respectively. This is quite an attractive price, especially since these rooms are inclusive of aircon and hot-water shower. And they come with breakfast too.

There's also the Garden Triple, which, as the name suggests, offers garden sceneries. The daily rate for this room is RM 160.
Our group comprised 15 people, so when Warna Inn Chalet & Cafe suggested we take the Bungalow, we jumped at the chance. It's quite a comfy abode, as each individual room in this Bungalow is fully airconditioned. Plus, there's a bathroom, which, like the Warna Inn Chalet & Cafe beach front rooms above, has a shower with water heater.

The rate for Warna Inn Chalet & Cafe Bungalow room cluster is RM 350 per night, quite a bargain as well, since the Bungalow actually sleeps a total of 13 guests. However, FYI, this rate is excluding breakfast.
Incidentally, if your group, like ours, has more than 13 people, you can ask Warna Inn Chalet & Cafe for extra mattresses. These are RM 20 per night each.
Not surprisingly, given place's stone's throw proximity to the crystal-clear sea, Warna Inn Chalet & Cafe can set you up with a full-on
scubadive package, which can be either with all dive equipment required, or, if you have your own gear, without. The package breaks down as follows:

Everyone member of our party was a scubadiver, and from the all-in-one perspective, I can safely say that the offered package is complete, convenient and easy on the wallet too. Dive-wise, we got more than we bargained for, since all locations we dived at were teeming with flora and fauna. But then, apparently, that's par for the course in Tioman...
So, to recap, Warna Inn Chalet & Cafe is a no-bells-no-whistles hostel on a pretty Tioman beach that targets budget travelers. Their rooms are nice, their F & B is tasty, their service is decent and their rates are fine. Thirty thumbs up :)
Tip:
Bring sun-block and drink plenty of water, because being a tropical island, Tioman is hot and sunny. You may not always notice it when you're in the cool sea water, snorkeling or scubadiving, but you're still exposed to the sun's rays. Always carrying a bottle of water when your at sea or near the sea is a good habit, as you'll be reminded to have a sip every now and then, so you don't dehydrate. Lastly, since this stretch of Tekek beach is very popular, best to book a few weeks ahead at least. Enjoy!
