Mersing Car Park

If you're taking your car to Mersing, or perhaps you're renting a car, then it's good to know that Mersing offers 3 suitable car parks, all of them located close to Mersing Harbour Centre. In addition, the car parks are fenced off and there are attendants to keep an eye on things during operational hours.

It's good to note a few things about parking at Mersing.

1. Rawa Car Park



Strictly speaking, the Rawa Car Park isn't really intended for the public, since it's property of one of the holiday islands located just off Mersing, Pulau Rawa, and, as such, all resort guests of this island get priority when it comes to using this car park.

However, since the car park's capacity typically exceeds what the resorts in Rawa require, anyone can request to have their vehicle parked at the Rawa Car Park, regardless of which island or resort they're staying. Rawa Car Park is manned by security staff and is fenced off.

The fee for parking at the Rawa Car Park is 18 Ringgit per day.

2. MD Car Park

Officially, this car park doesn't take advanced reservations, but you may be able to contact the attendants in advance to put in a reservation request. The MD car park is a decent car park, though it can get rather sunny from the lack of vegetation.

The charges for parking at the MD Car Park are 15 Ringgit per day.

Pease take note of the MD Car Park opening hours, because on days the tides are not so suitable for the ferry from Tioman, the vessel might arrive in Mersing very early in the morning or after 7.00 pm, i.e. outside regular MD Car Park operating hours. In these cases, it's best to make prior arrangements with the MD Car Park attendants.

The cost of booking a car park slot in advance is a one-time payment of RM 5 and is charged separately from the parking rate.
