In spite of Tioman's relatively modest size and geographical isolation, it does have a few not-to-be missed events on its calendar.
After all the successful Tioman Surfing Events, Tioman Boardriders Event Management hopes to launch its next edition for Jan/Feb 2024 as Tioman Festival 2024.
Tioman Boardriders Event Management is a local Tioman company, with JKKK Kg Juara, responsible for hosting Tioman Festival, a yearly event that is fully supported by the Ministry of Tourism of the State of Pahang, The Tioman Development Authority and Tioman Boardriders Club.

Tioman Island Clean-up Day 2024
Tioman Island Clean-up Day usually involves over 100 volunteers, including Berjaya staff, kids from Tioman's school, media participants and even tv celebrities, all of whom put in plenty of sweaty back-breaking time on the ground in a mass clean-up effort of Tioman's beaches.
But it's not just man-made rubbish that is collected during Tioman Island Clean-up Day. To reduce the relentless crown-of-thorns starfish pressure on our coral gardens, as many of this voracious starfish predator as possible are caught by the participating divers and then disposed of also.
It is hoped that Tioman Island Clean-up Day will serve to strengthen our resolve to maintain our efforts to keep Tioman's ecosystems flourishing, both above and below the waterline, whilst simultaneously fulfilling our educational objectives by spreading the word on the importance of conservation.
Start In Tioman (a.k.a. SIT)
Start In Tioman is comprehensive dive certification program (PADI) and leisure dive trips and marine conservation efforts all rolled into one single endeavour. Its objective is to consistently and sustainably promote Tioman Island as Malaysia's top
scuba diving destination, a position the island has garnered itself over the years.
But
Start In Tioman, a joint effort by Malaysia's Ministry of Tourism, Tourism Malaysia, the Tioman Development Authority, Pahang State Government, Villagers Travel & Tours Sdn Bhd, the Divers Association and various diving centers, also homes in on creating awareness towards conserving Tioman's marine ecology.
Start In Tioman does this by organizing beach clean-ups, marine conservation round-tables, as well as artificial reef construction.
