Of white sands and cocout trees
Welcome to Minang Cove Paradise
In the heart of the resort, you'll find the beautifully styled restaurant, where guests enjoy delicious Malay cuisine. A small library inside the restaurant has a selection of books for the purpose of swapping and borrowing - and leisurely reading of course.
The beach front bar with its open-air verandah is accessible all day, offering not only a variety of beverages, but panoramic sunsets too. Meanwhile, the Minang Cove Dive Centre provides snorkeling and diving equipment for rent. Guests that own their own equipment can use the wash area for rinsing and the Dive Centre for temporary storage.
Spa
Experience a soft and gentle aromatherapy massage. Long firm strokes at your requested pressure, this treatment will have you into a totally relaxed state within mere minutes.
Thai Traditional Massage
Or try a traditional Thai massage involving a careful stretching and pressure point technique along the meridian lines to open up your energy channels. This can enhance awareness and may have a positive effect on general health. The subtlety of this ancient tradition is what makes this massage so enjoyable.

The fully equipped Minang Cove Dive Centre offers snorkels, masks and fins for hire. The diving instructor will assist you with queries about the size of the items, tips on where to spot the most marine life and any other sea- related questions you may have.
For example, you can see plenty by swimming around the end of the Minang Cove jetty. Clown fish, juvenile barracuda, colourful parrotfish, rabbitfish... the number of species even this close to the shore is impressive. Better still, time it right and you may well catch a glimpse of a hawksbill turtle!
Minang Cove can also arrange to take you out on a snorkelling trip to one of the other areas around Tioman, enabling you to take in as many of the varied diving and snorkelling sites as possible during your stay.
For those who love to dive, the Minang Cove instructor can organise trips that cater to your own personal dive skill-set and any specific interests you may have. From the house-reef just off the jetty to a fishing boat wreck, now home to schools of small fish, like porcupine fish, moray eels, batfish, as well as stunning fan coral. To the small rocky island called
Pulau Jahat located opposite the resort, where you can see impressive bumphead parrot fish, large jacks, turtles, and even the occasional blacktip reefshark. In other words, dive locations galore.
If you haven't taken the first step to diving yet, try the
Discover Scuba Experience. You'll learn the diving basics, which will then enable you to do a trial dive around the Minang Cove house reef, accompanied by a qualified Divemaster of course. That way you can have a go at the fascinating underwater world without having to follow the full Open Water course.
That said, if you're loving scuba, clearly there's nothing stopping you from opting for the
Open Water course. All scuba equipment is available at Minang Cove. And once you've completed the course, you're set for a lifetime of amazing scuba dive experiences. In fact, you can then take any subsequent course, up to and including
Divemaster.
Diving is a gas. Enjoy!
