Located in the west of Tioman, Kampung Tekek, to be precise, Mastura is just a stone's throw away from the various land-based and sea-based activities that Tioman is renown for. Obviously, this includes
scuba-diving, which is, in fact, covered at all levels at Mastura Tioman. FYI, Mastura Tioman is a PADI-affiliated dive outfit.

If, like us, you're going to Tioman to scuba-dive, then it's good to note that Mastura Tioman offers complete diving packages. The packages include plenty of dives if you're already PADI-qualified, or the PADI Open Water course if you're not yet PADI-qualified.
The packages also included the roof over our heads in Mastura Tioman, as well as the transit to Mersing and our ferry journey fro Mersing to Tekek Village. Even our meals were included, as well as our scuba-equipment. For a no-headache booking experience, I recommend one of these full-on packages.

Other fun-packed adventures that can be found in and around Mastura are organized jungle trekking across the island and hill-hiking up the various slopes around Tioman. You do need a certain degree of fitness for some of these treks or hikes, because it can get a little challenging. Also, best wear proper foot attire.
For those of you who have the need for speed, recreational facilities such as banana boat rides and windsurfing are on offer along Mastura's protected beach front.
Other pastimes available at Mastura Tioman include: snorkeling, a self-driver glass-bottom boat and fishing trips, both inshore and off-shore.
As for accommodation, Mastura Tioman has 4 distinct room types on offer:
1. Standard Twin - air-conditioning included (This was our choice and it was very sufficient).
2. Long House - air-conditioning included
3. Standard Twin - fan included only
4. Family Suite - air-conditioning included
All in all, we liked Mastura Tioman and it's safe to sat that we will be back next time we swing by Tioman Island.
Tip:
Mastura Tioman isn't to bookable on Agoda, but we found a number of chalets in Tioman that can be found on Agoda that are pretty much carbon-copies of Mastura Tioman.
