Cata Ferry

A relative newcomer in the Tioman ferry scene, Cata Ferry provides ferry trips between the Malaysia mainland and Tioman. However, as compared to the incumbent ferry company, Cata Ferry has as its sole Tioman destination Kampung Salang. i.e. Cata Ferry does not travel to any of the other Tioman villages.

In other words, only travelers who booked their Tioman stay in the village of Salang, or who want to go to Salang for other purposes, can take Cata Ferry.

That being said, if your stay is booked at a hotel in any of the other Tioman villages, you can still take Cata Ferry of course, but please note that in these cases, travelers will need to make their way from Salang to their actual destination. In practice, this means taking either a water taxi or the regular ferry.

To take the ferry to any of the other Tioman villages, the Bluewater ferry will be the more direct option, given that the Bluewater ferry does actually service all of Tioman's villages. (Apart from Juara of course, which can be reached by taxi from Tetek.)
