One more item of interest to note for revelers going to Tioman by means of the Mersing to Tioman ferry. These days, increasing quantity of Tioman rooms has resulted in the situation that currently the number of rooms in Tioman, be it in hotels, resorts or other accommodation types, exceeds the number of ferry tickets available for any given day. This shortfall actually gets worse on days the tide in Mersing is not suitable, or the weather isn't cooperating.

In other words, the ferry is only able to travel to and from on days conditions are conducive, which in Mersing isn't always the case, given the relatively shallow Mersing river mouth.

As such, it makes sense to not wait too long to book your ferry tickets. Last thing anyone wants is to have a room booking but no ferry to take you to that room on that day.
