I remember staying at Goodwood Park for several months when I was a kid. Our family had just moved to Singapore and we were still searching for what was to be our home in Singapore for the next 4 years. My memory of Goodwood Park is as vivid as the day we were guests there. This hotel is special in many ways. Welcome to Goodwood Park Hotel Goodwood Park's architecture is one-of-a-kind. Its interior design ever so pleasing on the eye. And Goodwood Park's 100-year old history is nigh palpable. You can almost sense it when you traverse the lush carpeted corridors. Recently, I took my wife to Goodwood Park, to show her where my family had stayed after arriving from overseas all those years ago. It was good to see that the hotel's grandeur hadn't diminished one single bit. This beautiful hotel was impressive back then and it's just as impressive now. Goodwood Park by night We decided to dine at the Goodwood Park that day and I'm glad we did, as the evening turned out simply superb. The quality of the meal, the service, the atmosphere, all of it was the 5 stars that Goodwood Park embodies. Goodwood Park is exclusive without being pompous. It's privileged without being pretentious. And it's swanky without being expensive. In fact, I whole-heartedy recommend Goodwood Park to anyone looking for a hotel in Singapore that offers fancy elegance, comfort, as well as pedigree, all wrapped up in a location that cannot be beat. I rate Goodwood Park Hotel 5 stars out of 5 |
We've stayed in Goodwood Park several times now and we love it. The rooms are impeccably clean and comfortable, with no shortage of creature comforts. It always amazes me how the Goodwood Park Hotel tends to be appreciated more by overseas guests than by Singaporeans. I think there may be some local bias involved here, as Goodwood Park is not a shiny new high-rise addition that in Singapore can count on appreciation almost by default. Goodwood Park' rooms are spacious comfortable, as well as easy on the eyes Instead, Goodwood Park traces back over a century's worth of lineage to a very different Singapore. And I think it's this rich history and charm that appeals to foreigners. Together with its wonderful design, it's simply awesome location and its top-of-the-bill service offered. This imposing incumbent has more than stood the test of time and as far as I'm concerned, its ambiance is as majestic as it was over 100 years ago. If it's fine dining you're after, Goodwood Park will not disappoint either. Its English High Tea is almost an institution. I recommend you don't miss it when you're next in Singapore. And the facilities on offer in Goodwood Park are very generous indeed as well. The Goodwood Park Hotel offers swimming fun for young and old Goodwood Park our stately home away from home. After browsing online for the longest time, our hotel choice was made and it turned out to be Goodwood Park. To us, it seemed the ultimate hotel for a week-long holiday in Singapore. In hind-sight, we couldn't have picked a better hotel. For starters, Goodwood Park's central location is brilliant. It's along Scott's Road, which intersects Orchard Road, Singapore's equivalent of New York's Manhattan. But Goodwood Park is stunning in its unique design and colonial atmosphere too. And its staff, at every single level, is pretty much standard-setting; we were impressed daily by the quality of Goodwood Park's service. Helpful, kind, and always attentive. Goodwood Park's HR obviously knows what it's doing. Goodwood Park has a comprehensively equipped gym for all your fitness needs Meanwhile, we found that the Goodwood Park also excels in the quality of its cuisine. The day's three meals here are exquisitely prepared, even breakfast was an absolute treat. In fact, it took us a while to get weaned off the sensational meals we had here. Recreation-wise, there's plenty on offer at the Goodwood Park, including a very enjoyable pool. We had a daily swim, a fantastic way to unwind and relax our aching muscles after the long days spent shopping and seeing the countless Singapore sights. Actually, Goodwood Park offers two pools and both are great. Goodwood Park's stylish interiors Best of all, our room was the cool, quiet and spacious oasis that you want it to be in relentlessly vibrant Singapore. Bottom line, we couldn't fault the hotel on any front. We rate Goodwood Park Hotel 5 stars out of 5 |
My wife and I picked the lovely Goodwood Park, because we wanted to experience a bit of the Singapore from days gone by and, by Jove, we weren't dissapointed. Goodwood Park is chockablock with history, character and perhaps a slight undertone of nostalgia to the colonial heyday. It doesn't take much to let your mind wander to the High Teas that were had here by the hobnobbing rich and famous. The ambiance is quite spectaculair, to say the least. Goodwood Park, renown for fine dining Fast-forward 100 years or so and shopping paradise Orchard Road is a mere stone's throw away. What more could you want? Room, service, meals - we rated all of it full marks. We rate Goodwood Park Hotel 5 stars out of 5 |
